| Case Study - Project rescue in Llanelli |
|
When Mrs & Mrs Richards decided to refurbish their property, they thought that they had made the right choice of builder, having gained a personal recommendation from a friend. The job, which basically comprised a complete strip out and internal rebuild of the house, started well and the builder had completed the demolition stage within days. However they saw the warning signs when work slowed to a snail's pace, with days going by without anyone being on site, and the builder constantly asking for more money!
Despite attempts to resolve matters, the final straw came when the builder stripped off the extension roof and left the house exposed to the elements while he took his Christmas holidays. By this stage the project was running three months behind schedule.
In desperation they turned to Building Concepts' experienced team, who took a very sympathetic approach, taking over the unfinished project and managing it to completion. While they had to re-do some of the poor quality work that had already been completed, there was barely any over-run on the original budget and the entire project was completed only one month behind target.
